Echolist Directory Contest is a competition on SEO (search engine optimization) skills
held by echolist.com. The keyword 'echolist directory' has been selected. The most
common search engine, www.google.com, will be used to calculate the final result.
Competitors all over the world will try their best to optimize their websites or
web pages to get the position of #1, #2 or #3 in GOOGLE search results.
A directory website, ECHOLIST.COM has prepared to start the contest on 4/10/05.
They searched for the keyword 'echolist directory' on GOOGLE and got only 150 results.
And then they decided to start the contest on 15th April 2005. Information about the
competition was quickly announced publicly on the website www.echolist.com
The contest will run until December 31st 2005. Organizer will do a Google search for
the keyword 'echolist directory' at that time. Whoever achieves the first position
will receive the Grand Prize. Second and third position will receive other prizes.
Prize for #1 - $1,000
Prize for #2 - $250
Prize for #3 - $100
At each check point (which will be decided by echolist.com), who get the #1 position

Tips: create a web page with keywords in the url. You can use the file name, for
eample http://www.domain.com/echolist directory.html or directory name, ie.
http://www.domain.com/echolist-directory/index.html. Then, in the html source code,
put the keywords in the title tag, meta tags such as keywords, description, title...
Page content should be optimized with keywords in header tags (H1, H2, H3, H4...)
Text with keyword should be applied style of bold (<b>), emphasize (<em>, <i>),
underline (<u>). Remember to update the page content regularly with new text.
And create links to your page from other websites, it is important to GOOGLE.
