MarineListings.com is a new and innovative marine web portal site committed to providing the latest technology and marketing tools to sell and purchase marine products on the Internet.
The Customer
This site is a full circle solution, bringing the marine industry together for the first time on the Internet. Marinelistings.com is a user-friendly venue that allows Manufacturers, Dealers, Brokers, and individuals to highlight, sell, or auction all types of watercraft using photo and full video walk-through ads.
This portal includes specialized online communities to enhance the online experience. The communities focus on the distinct interests of each kind of boater, including tips, news, racing, forums, and much more. From Performance Boating to deep-sea fishing, Marinelistings.com supports the largest community membership of all of the marine portals currently on the Internet.
The Challenge
To create an encompassing and comprehensive backend to provide the ability for Marinelistings.com to offer an online auction, classified ads, marine market and a number of affiliate programs where marine industry companies can utilize the abilities and lead generation features of the website.
The Solution
Utilizing the newest programming techniques available, TBL Media developed a comprehensive and completely interactive backend for this project. This included the use of ASP.NET, and, programming languages that included C##, VBScript, and, others, in conjunction with an intense and extremely flexible SQL Server 2000 Database.
The Overview
Marinelistings.com now has a fully working online Auction, Classified Ads, and Marketplace for Boat Dealers, Manufacturers, Brokers, and, boating enthusiasts. All of which are integrated with an Industry specific Affiliate System.
